Personal Property Tax Reform Debate in Senate
The Michigan State Senate is considering a package of bills (SB 1065-1072) that will provide personal property tax relief to small businesses and manufacturers. This package of bills also provides a reimbursement mechanism for local units of government that are significantly impacted by these changes.
Contact your Senator today by using the Chamber's Legislative Feedback website and tell them what you think of Personal Property Tax reform. The website has a pre-written letter and the option to write your own letter, which you can email directly to legislators from the site.
The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce supports legislation and regulations that reduce the cost of doing business in Michigan and oppose legislation that is over-burdensome and places Michigan-based businesses at a competitive disadvantage with businesses in other states.
